Annual Conference

ASRA 2023: A more sustainable Conference

By ASRAcomms 17 Feb 2023

At ASRA we care about sustainability and are actively working to make our operations as sustainable as possible.

For this year's ASRA Annual Conference in Belfast, we'll be making a number of changes to deliver a more sustainable Conference:

  • Enhanced use of technology through a Conference app which will replace the printed Conference programme.
  • Reduced supplier marketing material.
  • Non-plastic Eco-friendly name badges will be provided.
  • There will be no delegate bags – why not recycle your previous ASRA delegate bag and bring it with you!
  • Social events have been organised within walking distance of the Conference venue.
  • Delegates will be provided with a re-useable drinks bottle.
  • Carefully selected Conference venue who has similar sustainability values as ASRA.
  • ASRA commits to charitable causes located within the Conference destination.

Hastings Hotels Commitment to Sustainability

At Hastings Hotels we are committed to providing an outstanding level of service to our customers in a setting that provides a safe, healthy, fair, and happy workplace for our employees, whilst simultaneously working to negate our negative impact on our local and global environment.

We fully support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and look to incorporate these into all that we do to help achieve a better planet, and future for all. As we continue our sustainability journey, we have identified the following SDG’s, which we feel most closely align with the principles, values, and work that we currently do.
