Senior Operations Manager with Student Roost

What do you enjoy most about working in student accommodation?

Meeting a diversity of people from different backgrounds, countries, and cultures. I love learning from our Students to help ensure we are providing more than just a room, but a home from home.

Can you provide details about a specific student accommodation project that you’ve been involved in, that you’re really proud of?

I have been privileged to have had the opportunity to project manage the mobilisation of several new properties across the UK portfolio. I relish the vision and passion in turning “an asset” into a home for our students. From bricks and mortar into somewhere they can feel proud to live and build their best student memories.

What does ASRA mean to you?

ASRA means working with the best and brightest in our industry to share best practices, network and work together to ensure that we are providing the best service for our residents when planning for the future of the sector.

What is your best ASRA memory?

Hosting the hugely successful ASRA Conference 2023 in my Native Belfast. It felt amazing to showcase all that this vibrant City has to offer in terms of Universities, Culture and of course the state-of-the-art Student Accommodation.

Thoughts on the future

We have to be flexible on our approach to construction to ensure that we are building with sustainability at the forefront of our design.
