Northern Regional Meeting hosted at Empiric Student Property, Victoria Point, Hathersage Road, Manchester.  

Attendees can look forward to a full and engaging day beginning with refreshments and welcome, including housekeeping notes and the latest ASRA updates. This will be followed by a round-table discussion, providing a valuable opportunity to explore current trends, challenges, and changes in the student accommodation sector. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with one or two topics they’d like to discuss, whether that’s food waste collection, Renters Reform, international student recruitment, or other issues affecting their operations. This session is designed to share best practice, generate ideas, and reassure attendees that they are not alone in facing these challenges.

Following the discussion, Empiric Student Property will host a tour of Victoria Point, including the show flat and communal spaces, offering insight into contemporary accommodation design. Lunch will be provided, giving another chance to network with peers.

The afternoon will include an online session with Helen Arber from the Unite Foundation, focusing on their ‘Blueprint for a #HomeAtUniversity’ and how student accommodation can support access, participation, and positive outcomes for care-experienced and estranged students. The day will conclude with an update on the ASRA Conference 2026 in Liverpool and the annual ASRA Awards, providing a preview of what attendees can look forward to at next year’s flagship event.
