ASRA Conference Charity Appeal 2025: The Lucy Rayner Foundation

ASRA will once again be organising a charity raffle at this year's Annual Conference with all proceeds being donated to The Lucy Rayner Foundation.

Lucy Rayner Foundation

The Lucy Rayner Foundation

The Lucy Rayner Foundation was established in 2012 after Jenny Rayner and her family were tragically faced with the impact of mental illness when their daughter, 22-year-old Lucy took her own life. Jenny, together with husband Stuart, and daughters Emma and Rebecca began to campaign about the mental health challenges faced by young adults, having found that the support available was both inadequate and underfunded. The foundation’s mission is clear: to ensure that young people struggling with mental health issues are heard, supported, and empowered.

Mental health issues, particularly among young people, have been on the rise, and many individuals suffer in silence due to stigma, lack of resources, or simply not knowing where to turn for help. The Lucy Rayner Foundation aims to change this narrative by:

·       Raising Awareness: Through campaigns, events, and outreach programs, the foundation seeks to educate communities about the signs of mental health struggles and the importance of early intervention.

·       Providing Support: Offering free counselling services, drop-in support sessions, and signposting individuals to additional resources.

·       Promoting Open Conversations: Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health is a cornerstone of their work. The foundation encourages honest, judgment-free discussions about mental well-being.

This is Lucy

As mental health awareness continues to grow, The Lucy Rayner Foundation remains a beacon of hope for countless individuals, providing support to young adults and their families through campaigns, education, training, and workshops, as well as offering comprehensive services, including free one-to-one counselling, support groups, and a dedicated suicide bereavement service.

Together, we can ensure that no one feels alone in their mental health journey. To learn more and support their mission please visit The Lucy Rayner Foundation.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation is a registered Charity (1195259)

The Charity raffle will take place during the ASRA Conference Dinner on Tuesday 8th April, with some fantastic prizes kindly donated by our industry colleagues.

We will be facilitating cash (notes only please) donations and thank you again for your tremendous support!
