Celebrating Jeanette’s Contribution to ASRA

As Jeanette Wilson steps down from her role as ASRA Events Officer at the end of her term, we would like to take a moment to recognise and celebrate her outstanding contribution to ASRA over many years.

Jeanette has been a familiar and valued presence within the ASRA community, having previously served as Wales Regional Representative before taking on the role of Events Officer. Across both roles, she has consistently demonstrated commitment, energy, and a genuine passion for strengthening collaboration across the student residential accommodation sector.

During her time on the Committee, Jeanette has played a pivotal role in shaping and delivering some of ASRA’s most important events, most notably the ASRA Awards. Over the past three years, she has led the continued development of the Awards, helping to grow them into a key fixture in the ASRA calendar and an important platform for recognising excellence, innovation, and dedication across the sector.

In addition to her work on the Awards, Jeanette has also helped facilitate engaging and thought-provoking sessions at ASRA Conference, including interactive roundtable discussions that brought colleagues together to explore key sector themes. These sessions created space for open dialogue, shared learning, and meaningful debate, reflecting her commitment to fostering collaboration and connection across the community.

Jeanette’s contribution to ASRA has been defined not only by the events she has helped deliver, but by her wider commitment to creating opportunities for engagement, conversation, and sector development.

As she steps away from her Committee role, we extend our sincere thanks for her dedication, hard work, leadership, and friendship over the years. Jeanette leaves behind a strong legacy within ASRA, particularly through the continued success and growth of the ASRA Awards.
